The process for getting a Canadian work permit is dependent on various type of work permit and most importantly its suggested to take consultation from visa agents in Delhi Ncr, India for the process. An international student studying in Canada would automatically get permission to work part-time during their study period and can apply for PGWP after their studies. Usually most of the work permits require a foreign national to have a valid job offer from a Canadian employer which is supported by LMIA and those which doesn’t require such formalities of Job offer and LMIA would have a unique documentation. There are two general pathways for obtaining the same:
I) Closed Work Permit:
This work permit is linked to specific employers, which means that a foreign national must remain working with the same employer at the same location unless there is a change in the work permit.
II) Open Work Permit:
It basically permits the candidates to work for any employer as this visa is not job-specific, therefore there is no need for the Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) or an offer letter from an employer. With this type of work permit, candidates can work for any employer in Canada except for those who do not withstand with the requirements or are involved in services such as escort, erotic massage or exotic dancing etc.
